About Us

My name is Ndeye Mariama Faty — a mother of three, a wife, a nurse, and the founder of ZanNabi Boutique.

I was born and raised in Senegal, in a large and loving Mandinka family where faith, strength, and beauty were part of everyday life. My mother, a deeply spiritual woman, has always been my anchor — guiding me to lead with intention and purpose.

I moved to the United States in 2009 for school, and like many diasporic women, I longed for clothing that honored both my African heritage and Islamic identity. When I couldn’t find what I needed, I began sourcing and sharing pieces that reflected the modest elegance I always loved.

Though I’m not a designer, I have an eye for detail and a deep appreciation for fashion that tells a story. Over time, I’ve curated, customized, and commissioned pieces inspired by styles I admired — always with the goal of offering something beautiful, modest, and meaningful.

In May 2023, ZanNabi Boutique was born — not just as a shop, but as a celebration of faith, heritage, and refined modest fashion.

Islam is my compass, and family is my foundation. I hope you feel both in every piece we offer.
